Today In History:
singer/songwriter John Lennon (The Beetles) was born in 1940, today is his 69th birthday.
Famous for his politics, his music, and that trademark Beetles hair, Lennon was there to urge those 60's youth into activism and love.
The US government suspected him of being a communist for a long while. And with songs like 'I am the Walrus,' who didn't?
whatever Lennon's politics, his short life left a mark on the history of culture and music that not even Oxi-Clean can get out.
